How to maintain color-treated hair?

We are living in a zone where we are done without natural hair. We want variation in our styles whether in terms of fashion, looks, or hair. For decades, coloring hairs have been in vogue. You will find the string of girls discussing balayage and other trends with their stylists. Isn’t it look so cool?

But, on the seamy side, these coloring styles have a disadvantage too. It can damage your hair to such a core if its maintenance is overlooked. Follow these steps to maintain your color-treated hair.

Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.

When you color your hair, it is often suggested to use shampoo and mask accordingly. You are condemned for using regular shampoos. Because they do not tend to deal with colored hairs. Thus, use sulfate-free hair products.

Opt for an organic spa at least once a month.

After coloring, it becomes important to regulate some treatments concerning your hair such as opting for a hair spa. Choose the organic ones such as nashi spa or those which use Moroccan or Argan oil. It is a diet for your hair. You can do it by yourself too if you own the right products. Don’t forget to oil your hair once a week.

Wash your hair less often.

After coloring, your hair becomes weak enough to bear regular washing. Normally, do not wash your hair more than twice a week. It will make your hair too thin. Moreover, regular washing will lead your color to fade away.

Avoid washing your hair with hot water.

Washing your hair with hot water will cause the color to escape. It is suggested to wash your hair with cold or lukewarm water irrespective of the weather conditions.

Use deep conditioning treatments.

Color steals your natural luster or shine from your hair. To combat this situation, use deep conditioning treatments. It will not let your hair lose that shine. The volume of your hair will too not be affected by then.

Use blow dryers, curling irons, or straighteners less often.

These styling and heating tools have the potential to damage your hair. Colored hairs are already too brittle. These tools will deteriorate the situation. Avoid it as often as you can. You already used harsh chemicals. Don’t overdo it.

Get regular cuts or trims.

Coloring often morphs your hair into dryness. Dry hair is the root cause of split ends. So get it trimmed at regular intervals. Otherwise, it will impact the overall growth of your hair.

Adopt a healthy diet.

Lastly, adopt a healthy diet especially rich in iron and protein. It will have a positive impact on your hair. You do not need to run after specialized treatments or anything for the cure of your damaged hair.
